Colours
door-stop composite doors come in six external colours; red, green, blue, white, light oak and now also Black. The internal colour is white.
The solid colours - red, green, blue, white and black - are pre-pigmented which means the colour is added during the manufacturing process. As the skins are applied, the colour goes on evenly.
The light oak finish is a hand-applied stained finish to give depth the woodgrain.
Finally all the doors have a high gloss, UV resistant film to give them a final sheen.

PVC Edge Banded doors
We’ve looked at every detail of door-stop composite doors. And edge banding is no different.
The edge of the door-stop composite door is finished using an ash grained PVC. Once the edge has been applied, it is then trimmed and the edges milled to a radius so there are no sharp corners.
Perfect.

GRP skin
Side panels use the same composite door frame for a perfect colour match. They are available glazed or with a matching composite infill panel.
Glazed panels are internally glazed and unless specified will automatically come with the same glass pattern as the main door, so if you ordered 3 Drop Diamond on Cotswold, the glass pattern in the side panel would be Cotswold. Glazed panels can also be fitted with the unique composite transom section.
Composite panels are a fixed size (484mm).
All side panels are fastened to the door using heavy duty 20mm aluminium coupling sections and then clad in PVC.
These can be glazed with any of the glass designs available for doors A-C.

SBD Lock as standard
Every door is fitted as standard with the Secure by Design Fullex SL16 Crimebeater lock has top credentials. The multi point locking mechanism has been tested to PAS23 and PAS24.
It is also approved under the Secure By Design scheme.
This lock can also accommodate Lever/Pad handle mechanisms when required.
The cylinder has five pins and has four anti-pick pins for added security. Then we’ve added a cylinder protector as standard. The guard helps to stop forced entry even if the handle is removed.

Part M low threshold
The door-stop door has a dedicated design for the low threshold specifically for the door-stop door and is Part M compliant.
The 70 mm front to back and fits neatly to profile site lines. It has concealed face drainage and a thermal break.
When you order the low threshold it comes automatically to match the hardware in gold, anodised or black.

Dedicated top box transom
Adding a top box is simple with door-stop composite doors. Because the frame has a dedicated transom bar, it is made in one piece. This makes it extra strong and looks good.
The glass pattern will match the glass pattern chosen for the main glass design. So if you’ve ordered Crystal diamond on Stippolyte, the top box will be in Stippolyte too.

Suited Hardware
The door-stop door has fully suited hardware so whether you choose gold, chrome or black hardware to finish your door, you can be sure of a prefect match.
Everything from knockers and numbers to handles and hinges are designed as a complete suite.
Gold finishes often tarnish, but with the Hardex gold finish the gold has been toughened to withstand even the harshest elements. |

PAS23 PAS24 and Kitemark
door-stop composite doors are being tested to the highest levels. All ready-to-install door-stop composite doors will conform to PAS23 and PAS24 as standard.
And with a simple upgrade of flag hinges the door-stop composite will offer the Kitemark – the top test for doors. These doors will also carry the annexe D accreditation that tests the continued operability of the door after a simulated aging process. The new TDS standard, with the gusting test, have also been included.
Please note unglazed composite doors carry no certification.
